PERSONAL: Born Nikola “Nik” Antonijevic on Aug. 18, 1993 in Phoenix, Ariz. … Parents are Sole and Mimi Antonijevic… Nik has one older brother, Stefan… Nik’s family moved to Buffalo Grove when he was 1… Nik's father was a professional soccer player in the former Yugoslavia before moving to the United States about 25 years ago… Sole and Mimi Antonijevic run the Chicago Wind Soccer Club… Stefan plays soccer for Valparaiso University and has played for the Serbian Under-19 team… Nik has played varsity soccer at Stevenson since he was a freshman… Nik started playing volleyball for fun as a freshman at Stevenson High School… Nik has four cousins or uncles that are 7-foot or taller. He also has an aunt who played team handball in the 1976 Olympics... Hobbies include weight lifting, watching movies and hanging out with friends and family… Favorite food is Serbian Food- Cevaps… Nik names  “My Bloody Life” as his favorite book, Aretha Franklin as his favorite musical artist, “Limitless” as his favorite movie, and Kate Beckinsale as his favorite actress… Favorite professional team is Trento Volleyball and favorite athlete is Ivan Milkovic… his mother is his most admired person… Nik lists both being selected to the 2010 Boys’ Youth National Team and being accepted to Pepperdine to play for Coach Dunphy as his favorite moments.

USA VOLLEYBALL HIGHLIGHTS: 2011 – Selected to the U.S. Boys’ Youth National Team. 2010 - Member of the Boys' Youth National Team that finished second at the NORCECA Boys' Youth Continental Championship in Guadelajara, Mexico.

INTERNATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS: 2011: Played on the Boys' Youth National Team that competed in the Under-10 Pan American Cup in Mexicali, Mexico (Bronze). Nikola was the fourth-best blocker of the tournament (.59 per set) 2010 - Played on the U.S. Boys' Youth National Team that finished second to Cuba at the NORCECA Championship in Guadalajara, Mexico.
 

CLUB/PREP HIGHLIGHTS: Nik played for the Rolling Thunder Volleyball Club out of Lake Zurich, Ill., and advanced to the USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championship before joining Adversity's 17 Elite team in 2009.
