The first weekend of USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National qualifiers is a wrap and teams participating in this weekend’s tournaments are just a few days away from taking center stage. Three of 10 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Qualifiers will be taking place March 18-20.

National Qualifying Teams from Crossroads I  

Colorado Crossroads marked the first tournament for the 2011 qualifier season with its second installment slated for this weekend. The Junior National Qualifier and Select Tournament, held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, welcomed 928 teams total. 432 teams compete this weekend and will be divided into nine divisions with pools played out in morning and afternoon waves. Colorado Crossroads II Schedule  

In addition to Colorado Crossroads II, two other USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Qualifiers will be played out this weekend. The 2011 Pacific NorthWest Qualifier I, held in Spokane, Wash, and Cheney, Wash., the 2011 Mizuno Hoosier Mid East Qualifier I, held in St. Louis, Mo., will hold the first episodes of their dual-weekend multi-day qualifiers on March 18-20.

In all three tournaments pool-play is broken down into morning and afternoon waves. The waves are scheduled for 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., subject to change based on match lengths.

The Heart of America National and American Division bids to Girls’ Junior National Championships have already been awarded. These teams qualified at the Heart of America Regional tournament.
