This Weekend’s Plans

Welcome the busiest weekend in the 2011 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Qualifying season.

Five qualifiers are in action this weekend, spanning across the nation from California to Maryland. The Mizuno Northern Lights, The Far Western, The Southern California Qualifier and The Lone Star Classic will take place April 15-17, while the NorthEast National Qualifier is slated for April 16-18.

The Northern Lights Junior Volleyball Club will host the final weekend of the Mizuno Northern Lights Qualifier in Minneapolis.  Five club divisions and three open divisions will compete under the lights at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The final weekend of the Far Western Qualifier will take place at the Reno/Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nev. Twenty-total bids are up for grabs for the three club divisions and the four open divisions. The Southern California Volleyball Association is putting on its final national qualifier in Anaheim, Calif. Three club divisions and two open divisions will battle for 14 bids.

The Lone Star Classic kicks off this weekend at the Dallas Convention Center. This is the first weekend of the qualifier with the final installment taking place April 22-24. For more information about the Lone Star Classic, click here.

A Look Back

The Mizuno Hoosier Mid East Qualifier (MEQ) wrapped up last weekend in Indianapolis, with 15 bids distributed over three age divisions. Also in action last weekend was the first edition of both the Mizuno Northern Lights Qualifier in Minneapolis, and the Far Western Qualifier in Reno, Nev.
