Girls’ Junior National Qualifying Tournaments are a wrap!

The 2011 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Qualifying Tournaments have concluded this past weekend, offering bids to teams to the 2011 U.S. Girls’ Junior National Championships (GJNC) in Atlanta.

The Lone Star Classic, the NorthEast National Qualifier and the Show Me Qualifier all wrapped up this weekend, leaving unqualified teams hoping to finish at the top of their Regional Qualifying events or at-large berths. The last weekend for the regional tournaments is May 7-8.

The 2011 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships will take place in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center June 25-July 4.

Boys’ Junior National Information

The Boys’ East Coast Championships will be the final bid tournament for the teams in the open division. The tournament will be held in Richmond, Va., and is slated for May 28-30. The open division is the only one that must qualify for the Boys’ Junior National Championships (BJNC). Club divisions do not need to qualify, they just need to register.

The BJNC will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, June 29-July 6.

High Performance

The USA Volleyball Indoor High Performance Department has started to release the results from its numerous tryouts that have taken place across the country. Tryout results for the Women’s Junior age group (born in 1992 or 1993) have been released while Girls’ Future Select, Girls’ Youth and Girls’ Select are all projected to be announced in the first week of May. USAV High Performance announced the boys’ tryout results earlier this month.
