What it takes to be a GREAT hitter

I always get asked, "What do you do to jump high or what do you do to hit so hard?" A better question is "what does it take to be a great hitter?" I often ask myself that. I have to say it truly is a blessing to play amongst the best volleyball players in the world.

Destinee Hooker is an opposite hitter for the U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team. She has made an immediate impact on the team since joining the squad full-time in 2010. In summer of 2011, she was named an FIVB Hero and went on to win the MVP of the 2011 FIVB World Grand Prix.
