Shopping, Puking and More!

Yesterday morning we woke up bright and early to go to practice at the all-boys prep school. On the way to practice we experienced the best driving manuever possibly ever made by man. Our big yellow school bus takes up quite a bit of the road, and when two cars are parked on both sides of the road, things get a bit tight. But the tight sqeeze was no match for our expert bus driver. And with the obstacle overcome, we were on our way to practice.
Once again, there are two words to describe it: informative and sweaty. Our coaches demand our best effort 100 percent of the time and when we aren't going all out, they make sure to let us know. After practice we probably sat in traffic for 10 hours (we are not exaggerating).
Once we FINALLY got to the hotel our team split up: most went shopping, but I (Madi Bugg) and Haley, those feeling under the weather and Mimi stayed home. We attempted to lighten the load of makeup work that we are going to have when we get back to the real world. Mimi didn't have any school work though so she just napped.
I (Madi Bugg) was rather nervous because every single one of the sickies was in MY room. And I was the only healthy one left. Char and Melissa felt it best if i relocated to a couple of my other teammates room...just as a precaution. I didn't object.
I (Molly McCage), on the otherhand, went to a local market. It was filled with fun Guatemalan galore! Andie, Angela, Lauren, Shelby, Regan and I all went with Doc and Char. Regan toughed it out, even though she was ill. She thought of her family first. :) Everything there was so cheap! Personally, I got 10 bracelets for only one dollar (10 quetzals)!
It was a ton of fun to see all the little shops and all the hard work these locals put into their items that they were selling. Guatemala continues to be fun and eventful and reaching our goal is getting closer and closer!
Quote of the day: We're dropping like flies! "the team"
