Saying Goodbye

Chloe Collins here!

Today has been filled with memories that every last one of us will cherish. We started our day off by having a scrumptious breakfast that consisted of very filling bread. As time past from breakfast most of us took naps until we left for practice then later in the evening we left for our game. Our game against Slovakia was a great win. After our game we headed straight over for the final game against China and Turkey and what a great game is was. It could of gone either way, but Turkey came out on top. We stayed and watched the award ceremony. It was definitely a moment I’ll never forget and one I’ll never be able to physically explain in person. So much passion was shown that night. Later on that night everything was how I’d explain it “On and poppin” every team was up for trading shirts, it was equivalent to Wall St. stock market. Throughout trading shirts all the girls had gather gifts for our guide Serkan. It was only the beginning to a hard good-bye. After giving Serkan his awesome gift most girls headed back to continue trading. Mainly, Brazil was on the top of everyone’s list including mine. Once we all finished trading shirts for the night we decided it was time to attack the task at hand and start packing. What an interesting night with everyone trying to jam every last piece of clothing into their bags. Our morning would start with a 3:45 A.M. departure time from the hotel to the airport.

We have a long day ahead of us.
