We will begin competition on Sunday at 9 a.m. There is a meeting at 8:30 a.m. on that morning, so I am not sure if anything will change by that time.

I requested player information after meeting with you, and most of the team responded. This is what I have:

Shawn Hoover - SETTER
• Setter
• Played at Stanford from '74-'79
• Played at my first USAV Nationals in 1975 where I got to play against the old, original USA National Team (the one that was practicing in Texas). They had split the team into two teams and we had the good fortune of playing the Red team. Flo Hyman was on the team and I was still an outside hitter at the time (all 5'6" of me!!). Well, Flo was a really green player at that time and she kept trying to block me as if I was 6'0". I hit off her elbows the entire match. 20We still lost, but I was named to the All-American Rookie team because people had seen that match. It was my one shot at fame!
• Played some volleyball in Germany (club only, not professionally) in the late 70's and early 80's. Nothing much to brag about, other than the experience.
• Was Assistant Coach at Colorado State University from '81-'83.
• Spent '81-'92 playing doubles in Colorado, including many Motherlode tournies and a few wins there.
• Played on the Women's Beach Doubles Tour in '93 and '94...best finish a 7th
