Volleyball Center of Attention at Youth Olympics

Singapore August 2010

Met with Tay and a few teammates yesterday. They were happy to se a familiar face.

Everywhere the team goes they are greeted by a swarm of excited local fans. Singaporians seem to adore our American Athletes. Especially the Volleyball team. Constantly asking for photographs.

The team must be in game mode now. Mentally preparing for Belgium match tonight. Belgium is big in the middle. But they have yet to meet the biggie's of USA. Match is sold out. Expected to be a wildly USA supported crowd.

The country of Singapore has set a very high standard for China to follow. YOG exposure is at every footstep. My single favorite slogan, which is posted everywhere you look, every channel you have tuned in to is this "Age Has Nothing to do with Ambition." What a great way to embody the spirit of our youth.

The USA Volleyball girls look fresh, focused and determined to bring home the Gold.

Go USA!
