The U.S. Girls' Youth Olympic Team cools off at the waterpark in Singapore Courtesy of Rod Wilde The U.S. Girls' Youth Olympic Team cools off at the waterpark in Singapore. After practice today we took a short break and let the team enjoy a water park that was located just behind the training gym.

We spoke to the manager and it is primarily funded through the government, so the cost to get in was 80 cents. Not quite what it would have cost back home.

We have our one and only practice in the competition arena tomorrow night. They are giving 45 minutes from 8:30-9:15pm. Since it takes over an hour to get there we are going to have triple the time in the bus as we have on the court. It is fortunate that we have a later practice the next day and then get to go watch Belgium play Egypt.

We had a couple of good practices the last few days, so we are all very ready to get out and play. We were trying to set up a scrimmage with Japan from the other pool, but the FIVB heard teams were scrimmaging and banned them. We tried to get a reason, but no one seemed to know why they were banned.

We took the team to the Olympic gallery and saw what the medals look like. As we told them, if they are real in your mind, then they can be real in your dreams.
