After winning Pool C yesterday, we were placed in a new pool with Italy, Dominican Republic and Peru, which meant we were off to Lima to play the 2nd round.
Although getting up early was not the most fun part of day, we were off to the airport at 5 a.m. After arriving at the airport, we all knew that even though we were in the airport that we could somehow get comfortable and get a quick nap in before the flight left.
After arriving in Lima we got settled in our hotels for a bit and then went off to see some of the city. We explored the downtown area. While there we were able to see the “white house” of Peru where the President stays. we went into a beautiful Catholic church and at the end we were even able to do some shopping at a small market.
We ended the day with a practice in the arena we will be playing in. Even though it was an early day of travel we still were able to get in to the gym and continue to get better.
