IMPACT Instructor Training Webinars

IMPORTANT: Only PRE-APPROVED candidates are allowed to register here for the IMPACT Instructor Training Course!

PRE-APPROVED CANDIDATES are welcome to join USAV-CAP Department online for an IMPACT Instructor Training Course that will include the online IMPACT Clinic Webinar presentation!

The IMPACT Instructor Training Webinars are open to any CURRENT CAP Level II (or higher) coach who has been approved and recommended IN WRITING by their Region Office (email is sufficient) to the National Office for such training.

Candidates must:
1) Hold a CURRENT CAP Level II or higher Certification                                                                                                                                                                   2) Ask for and Submit to the National Office their Region Office's written recommendation to attend the Training
3) Contact the National Office for the Registration Link to pay for the Training                                                                                                                           4) Schedule and attend the 1-1.5 hour online/phone Training session with the MASTER IMPACT INSTRUCTOR prior to the IMPACT Clinic Webinar
5) Attend the selected scheduled online IMPACT Webinar for both nights with a MASTER Instructor teaching
6) Schedule and attend the 1-1.5 hour online/phone Instructor Training session with the MASTER Instructor following Part 2 of the IMPACT Clinic Webinar.

The scheduled online Webinars eligible to include the IMPACT Instructor Training segments, produced in 2 Parts and presented over a two day time frame, are below. All start times are 6:00 PM MOUNTAIN TIME, unless otherwise noted.  Candidates, once registered and paid here, may select from the following dates -taught by a Master Instructor (MI) - live from Colorado Springs, CO:

  • Webinar #6 March 25-26, 2009 - Burroughs (MI)& Kessel (MI)
  • Webinar #7 April 8-9, 2009 -Kessel (MI)
  • Webinar #8 April 22-23, 2009 - Kessel (MI)
  • Webinar # 9 May 6-7, 2009 - Kessel (MI)
  • Webinar #11 June 3-4, 2009 - Kessel (MI)
  • Webinar #12 June 10-11, 2009 - Burroughs (MI)

Once registered to attend, emails with your login information and materials attachments will be sent on the Friday or Monday prior to Part 1 of your selected Webinar Date.  If not received, FIRST CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDERS as your filters may have kicked them there - be sure your email program will accept emails from these addresses; AND make sure your mailbox is empty enough to accept the emailed attachments!

EACH INDIVIDUAL ATTENDEE will need their own email address, access to their own laptop or desktop computer, and a phone connection (or VOIP with microphone) to take part in the Webinar!

DISCOUNTED REGISTRATION PRICING will be extended to small groups of Candidates from a single Region! Small groups of Instructor candidates from the SAME REGION, attending the SAME WEBINAR /INSTRUCTOR TRAINING DATE may gather in one location, using one internet connection (with large screen projector/monitor attached) and one phone line dial up access (with speakerphone/microphone connection so all may hear/speak).

BEFORE REGISTERING A SMALL GROUP TRAINING, the Region Office must contact the National USAV Education Office for more details on this Instructor Training option and to have a group APPROVED! The Instructor Training for your group may be done during one of the regularly scheduled IMPACT Webinars listed as above or Region Office's may schedule their own date and time for the Region's Candidates to attend the training (additional/flat fees may occur - contact the National Office for more information).

Candidates need to plan to be at their computers and telephones to log/dial into the online Meeting/Webinar at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Roll will be taken at start time, so please be prompt.

IMPACT Instructor Training Fee includes:

  • 1-1.5 Hours Pre-IMPACT Clinic Webinar Instructor Meeting with Master Instructor
  • 2.5 hours of IMPACT Webinar Part 1 instruction
  • 2.5 hours of IMPACT Webinar Part 2 instruction
  • 1-1.5 Hours Post-IMPACT Clinic Webinar Instructor Meeting with Master Instructor
  • Textbooks/Materials: Downloadable copy of the 2009 IMPACT Manual (SINGLE copy may be printed for own use only), and
  • Handouts of Slide Presentation
  • Once Training is satisfactorily completed, successful candidates will receive an emailed PDF IMPACT Instructor Certificate (copied to Region Office and the information will be entered into the National CAP database), as well as access to the IMPACT Instructor's Only web page to download current season Instructor materials and information.

Maintaining IMPACT Instructor Status requires:

  • Maintaining Member in Good Standing status with your Region and National Office
  • Maintaining current CAP Level II (or higher) certification status with National Office
  • Maintaining Current USAV Background Screening in system

Certified IMPACT Instructors may maintain current CAP status by:

  • Attending another CAP II or III course for re-certification purposes, OR
  • Submitting 5 Approved CAP Module Credits for a Level II re-certification, or 6 for a CAP III re-certification, every 4 years (QUAD).
    Approved Modules for the following QUAD may be earned by:
  • Attending an IMPACT Instructor Training (worth 3 Module Credits)
  • Teaching an IMPACT Clinic taught to National Office Standards/Specifications (up to 3 per QUAD)
  • Attending Modules at any schedule CAP Course site
  • Attending Modules at any Approved CAP Modules Clinic
  • Attending the annual AVCA Convention (once per QUAD)
  • Attending/Passing any Approved Online Module Course
  • HOSTING & Administrating a CAP I, II or III Course or Modules Clinic (# of Module Credits varies)

Documentation for Re-certification Module Credits must be submitted to the National Office no earlier than 90 days prior to the CAP Certification expiration date (end of your certification QUAD), and no later than 30 days following that expiration date).

DEADLINES FOR REGISTRATION
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION pricing will apply to registrations received until Midnight (MST) on the Friday preceding the selected scheduled Webinar Part 1 date.
LATE REGISTRATION pricing (Additional $25) will apply to registrations received after midnight (MST) on the Friday preceding the selected scheduled Webinar Part 1 date. All registrations are time stamped, and you are responsible for the difference if you register using the incorrect link.

REGISTRATION for the IMPACT INSTRUCTOR TRAINING WILL CLOSE at 3:00 pm MOUNTAIN TIME on the MONDAY preceding part 1 of the selected/scheduled Webinar!

Refund Policy: Candidates who cannot attend may choose to have their registration refunded less a 10% processing fee, or may have the entire fee transferred to attend another scheduled IMPACT Instructor Training/Webinar. Contact the CAP Office to arrange either option.
