I think it a terrible choice to go back to Atlanta for the boy's jr nat'ls tournament next summer. It was very hot, dangerous, and expensive, with few recreational options. One day a stabbing took place at the mcDonalds while our team was having lunch. A near riot broke out at the 4th of July festivities. My son was threatened in a public restroom by gang members. Other venues like Minneapolis, Denver, or Sandy Utah are far better choices. I encourage all parents that are concerned for their child's safety to speak up on this community and boycott the nationals next year unless the venue is changed to another city. |
