COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 28, 2008) - The U.S. Women's Sitting Volleyball Team will play Ukraine on Tuesday in the bronze-medal match of the World Organization Volleyball for Disabled (WOVD) Intercontinental Cup in Ismailia, Egypt.

Team USA, which finished second in Group B, opened play on Monday by defeating Russia, the third-place finisher from Group A, in the quarterfinals (25-21, 23-25, 25-18, 25-20).

That set up a semifinal meeting with Netherlands, the winner of Group A. The United States recently played a four-match exhibition series against Netherlands in Chicago and Team USA won three of them.

But Netherlands has not lost a set in Egypt and was not going to start on Monday. It defeated Team USA, 26-24, 25-15, 28-26, and will play Slovenia in the gold-medal match on Tuesday.
