USA Volleyball Hosts Junior Boys' "Florida Fest"

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 24, 2009) – USA Volleyball invites boys’ club teams to participate in the 2010 Florida Fest being held Jan. 30-31 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.

This event, in partnership with the Florida Region and Joseph Volleyball Camps, is a USA Volleyball Boys’ Bid Tournament. Three bids for the Open division of the 2010 USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championships will be awarded in each of the 14 & Under through 18 & Under Open divisions. Brackets for 12 & Under through 18 & Under Club divisions will also be offered at Florida Fest.

Entry fee is $500 per team for Open division in 14 & Under through 18 & Under. All five championship flights are a two-day tournament format. Entry fees for all Club division championships for the Florida Fest are $250 per team. All seven championship flights are a 1.5-day tournament. Entry deadline for both Open and Club division is Jan. 14, 2010.

The 2010 Florida Fest is being held during the same time period in Daytona Beach but in alternate venues with the Daytona Beach 100, which will also play host to five men’s collegiate teams.
