COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Dec. 28, 2009) – USA Volleyball has announced that it has altered the dates for the 2010 USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championships due to a scheduling conflict at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
The new dates for the 2010 USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championships are July 2-9, which is a two-day change from the original June 30 to July 7 competition dates. The new dates will allow USA Volleyball full access to the Austin Convention Center for set-up and run the Nationals in a manner the volleyball community has come to expect.
“Due to unexpected venue issues, USA Volleyball felt it was in the best interest of the event to move the competition dates to accommodate the ability to conduct the Boys’ Junior National Championships to the level of quality expected from our members,” USA Volleyball Managing Director of Events Mike Chandler said.
Specific age division dates will be announced shortly along with the opening of team registration and hotel registration through THS.
The 2010 USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championships will crown 12 championships with Open and Club Divisions for 14-and-under, 15-and-under, 16-and-under, 17-and-under and 18-and-under. Club division titles will take place for 12-and-under and 13-and-under.
