COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 7, 2010) – With the surge in popularity of beach volleyball and the addition of sand volleyball to the NCAA Emerging Sport List for women, the need for capable beach volleyball coaches has grown rapidly.
USA Volleyball will be hosting three-hour Beach Coaching Clinics in conjunction with select USAV Beach Camps and Tryouts. These introductory clinics will cover the technical and strategic differences between the beach and indoor disciplines, and how to design a beach practice for different group sizes.
Participants should be prepared to take part in on-court drills. The Clinic will count as a module for USA Volleyball’s Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP).
The cost is $50 for USAV members and $60 for non-members.
Registration is available at www.regonline.com/usavbeach2010 up until midnight PT on the Wednesday before the clinic.
2010 Beach Coaching Clinic Schedule:
April 10: Glendale, Ariz., 6-9 p.m.
April 23: Deerfield Beach, Fla. 5-8 p.m.
April 25: Clearwater Beach, Fla. 9 a.m.-noon
