COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Aug. 19, 2010) – More than 100 teams are already registered to compete in the 2010 USA Volleyball Beach Junior Tour Championship on Aug. 22 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The event is being held in partnership with USA Volleyball’s Florida Region and Elevation Management.
The USAV Beach Junior Tour Championship will have two divisions, one for teams that qualified by finishing in the top three at one of the previous USAV Beach Tour stops, and one for those that did not.
The tournament will take place at Fort Lauderdale beach at 801 Seabreeze Blvd.
This is the first time that the Junior Beach Tour Championships will be held somewhere other than Southern California.
“For many years I’ve been asking to host the Championship,” said Steve Bishop, the executive director of USA Volleyball’s Florida Region. “Just having a spectacular beach event that the kids can look forward to at the end of the year is certainly our top goal.”
To register for the event, go to usabeach.org/registration.asp.
