USAV Plays Part on 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition'

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Dec. 30, 2010) – USA Volleyball was happy to play a small part in a new home for a family in Moorehead, North Dakota.
USA Volleyball was contacted in the fall by the producers of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and asked for assistance in decorating a room in a new house being built for the Grommesh family.
USA Volleyball sent many items, including clothes, balls and posters, for use in the home, which will be revealed on the Jan. 2 episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” on ABC, which airs at 8 p.m. ET and PT and 7 p.m. MT and CT. Two-time beach volleyball Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor (Santa Monica, Calif.) also reportedly makes an appearance.
According to the description on the show’s web site, “The team builds a handicapped accessible home for the family of a wheelchair-bound 10-year-old. The old home, moved to a new location, will house another family.” The episode is entitled “The Grommesh Family.”

The Emmy award winning reality program “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” now in its 8th season, is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding.
