COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 23, 2011) – The USA Volleyball beach department has opened registration for the first two 2011 NORCECA Beach Circuit events.

The 2011 NORCECA beach volleyball season will kick off with events on March 24-27 in Grand Cayman and on April 7-10 in Guatemala.

USAV can enter two teams per gender in these 16-team events. Prize money of $5,000 per gender per event will be offered.

For these first two events, USAV will nominate teams based on USAV ranking (currently a combination of AVP and FIVB points). The top nominated team per gender will receive a $500/athlete travel stipend from USAV upon completion of travel and hotel and meals from the local promoter.

The second nominated team per gender will receive a $200/athlete travel stipend from USAV upon completion of travel and will be responsible for its own hotel and meals. USAV will provide entry fees for all teams as well as team uniforms.

The deadline to register for the first two NORCECA events is midnight PT on Monday, March 7.

Teams interested in participating in these events should sign up using the link below. Late entries will not be accepted.
