COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 21, 2011) – The USA Beach Junior Tour made a stop in Hermosa Beach, Calif., on July 14 at the Southern California Open.

Christine Irvin (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) and Kate Summer (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) won the girls’ under-18 (U18) division with a 28-20 victory over Bianca Arellano (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Macey Gardner (Gilbert, Ariz.). Hayley Brattain (Riverside, Calif.) and Victoria Lang (Riverside, Calif.) placed third.

In the girls’ U14 division, Natalie Anselmo (Calabasas, Calif.) and Lindsey Newton (Valencia, Calif.) defeated Katie Barkley (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and Emma Smith (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) in the final, 28-22. Tying for third were the teams of Sabrina Stilwell (Laguna Bach, Calif.) and Brianna Boyd (Laguna Beach, Calif.) along with Reagan Kilgore (Wimberley, Texas) and Autumn Rounsaville (Dripping Springs, Texas).

Mary Anselmo (Calabasas, Calif.) and Delaney Knudsen (Valencia, Calif.) beat Erica Sanchez (Lake Forest, Calif.) and Caelan Smith (Foothills Ranch, Calif.) in the final of the girls’ U16 division, 28-24. Alexa Richardson (Austin, Texas) and Jasmin Rounsaville (Dripping Springs, Texas) tied for third with Julia Madsen (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Blake Springer (Los Angeles, Calif.).

In the girls’ U12 division, Chloe Newton (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) and Presley Forbes (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) defeated Jordan Kilgore (Austin, Texas) and Jacqueline Ribeiro (Austin, Texas) in the final, 21-10. Erica Richardson (Palos Verdes, Calif.) and Nayah Nassif (Palos Verdes, Calif.) finished third.

In the boys’ U14 division, Barrow Mainz (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Tanner Smith (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) took first, defeating Cole Anderson (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and Kyle Grafton (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) in the final, 28-25. Luke Nassif (Palos Verdes, Calif.) and Nolan Sharp (El Segundo, Calif.) finished third.

In the boys’ U12 division, Robert Barkley and Luke Grafton finished first and Niko Forbes with Sebastian Rodriguez placed second.
