USA Beach Jr. Tour Championship to Host 190 Teams

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 22, 2011) - The 2011 USA Beach Junior Tour will hold its largest championship event ever, including 190 girls’ and boys’ teams competing on July 23 in Chicago, Ill.

The event is being held in partnership with USA Volleyball’s Great Lakes Region and Elevation Management.

This year’s USA Beach Junior Tour Championships has at least 75 more teams participating than in 2010. The athletes in the 2011 event are representing 20 USA Volleyball Regions and 17 states. Participants will range in age from 10 to 18.

The USA Beach Junior Tour Championship will have two divisions, one for teams that qualified by finishing in the top three at one of the previous Tour stops, and one for those that did not. In the Bid Winners Open Division there are 115 teams competing and in the National Division there are 75 teams.
