USAV Board of Directors Vacancies

NOTE: Nomination deadline extended until June 1, 2012
The USA Volleyball Beach ‘Interim’ Administrative Council is currently seeking applicants to fill two (2) positions on the Board of Directors representing Beach:
- Beach –At Large Director (currently vacant)
- Beach / Elite Development Director (currently held by Joy McKienzie-Fuerbringer who is eligible for re-election)
Per USAV bylaws, each candidate will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of the United States; and not affiliated with any national volleyball federation other than USAV;
- Be at least eighteen years of age;
- Be of good character;
- Be judged, qualified and appropriate for the particular Board position;
- Be committed to serving the best interests of USAV and the sport regardless of the constituency which (s) elects the Board Member;
- Be committed to the principles of USAV;
- Be willing to adhere to USAV policies; and
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Beach – At Large Director: The elected Beach At-Large Director will serve a four-year term beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2015. A candidate to represent Beach Programs should meet or exceed the following criteria:
- Appropriate experience (e.g. representation of the discipline of beach volleyball as athlete, coach or administrator; beach high performance program management and/or development).
- Demonstrate a significant degree of involvement domestically in beach volleyball sport administration, programming or development.
Beach / Elite Development Director: The elected Beach/Elite Development Director will serve a four-year term beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2016. A candidate to represent Beach/Elite Development should meet or exceed the following criteria:
- Have a recent leadership role within the beach elite / development community.
- Have a significant involvement with a broad spectrum of elite and/or developmental beach programming, coaching or beach event operation.
