U.S. Indoor Head Coaches Participate in FIVB Press Conference

BEIJING, China (Aug. 8, 2008) – U.S. Men’s National Volleyball Team Head Coach Hugh McCutcheon and Women’s Head Coach “Jenny” Lang Ping took part in the FIVB press conference for the 24 Olympic volleyball head coaches on Friday.
“We’re very happy to be here,” McCutcheon said. “We think that the men’s field is very strong and our pool is very challenging. We hope that our team can play its best volleyball of the summer over these next two weeks.”
Lang Ping added: “We’re very excited for the first match. We hope for a great performance for the fans of the world and also we would like to have a great result.”
The U.S. Women’s Team will open its Olympic tournament on Saturday at 10 p.m. local time against Japan at Capital Indoor Stadium. The U.S. Men’s Team will face Venezuela on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at Capital Indoor Stadium.
