High Performance Boys’ Tryout Schedule Announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 1, 2011) – The USA Volleyball High Performance Department has announced the first group of confirmed locations and dates for High Performance Boys’ Tryouts in 2012.

A total of 11 different tryout dates have been confirmed in 10 different cities and seven different states. It is anticipated that additional tryout dates and sites will be confirmed for the months of February and March. Expected tryouts to be added include a second ‘stand alone’ tryout in Anaheim, two tryouts in the Mid-Atlantic region including one at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa., and a tryout in both Phoenix and Honolulu.

All High Performance Boys’ Tryouts include evaluation opportunities for players in four age groups – Junior (1993 or 1994), Youth (born in 1995 or 1996), Select (born in 1997 or 1998) and Future Select (born in 1999 or 2000, for younger athletes, contact the High Performance department at indoorhp@usav.org).

Tryout registration and check-in begin 60 to 90 minutes prior to start time depending on anticipated size of tryout.

Tryouts cost $65 for early/online registrations, $75 for faxed or mailed registrations and $100 for walk-up registrations. A $5 one-time event membership will be applied if a USA Volleyball membership is not provided.
