COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 2) – The Girls Junior National Championship for the 14-17 age divisions will run July 3-11 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The GJNC is the United States’ premier junior girls club tournament and attracts college scouts from across the country.

For a second year, the 14-17 age divisions have been given a separate tournament and their numbers are greater than ever with 1,442 teams registered. There are seven competitive divisions for each age group. The biggest division is 15 Patriot with 111.

The event will bring as many as 40,000 people to the city.

Teams in the 16 and 17 age divisions will compete July 3-6. The 14s and 15s will compete July 8-11.

Theme days will be “Red, White and Blue Day” on July 4, “Tutu Day” on July 5, “Tie-Dye Day” on July 9 and “Team USA Day” on July 10.

There will also be a Scavenger Hunt during each wave with great prizes for winning teams.

Many of the nation’s top college recruits and members of the U.S. Women’s National Team have competed in this event as a part of their junior careers at the club level, with several going on to compete in the Olympic Games.

Among the U.S. Women’s National Team players who have competed at GJNCs are 2020 Olympic gold medalists Micha Hancock, Chiaka Ogbogu and Justine Wong-Orantes.

Every court will be live streamed on BallerTV.com, which is a subscription service. Four courts will be live streamed for free at USAVolleyball.org.
