COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The USA Volleyball Junior Beach Tour Championships will be held July 20-25, 2017 in Siesta Key, Florida. The tournament will feature over 400 teams from across the country with boys and girls ages 10-18 years old. General admission to the tournament and parking will be free.

The Junior Beach Tour Championships Open Division is a culmination of the top three winners of each division from over 90 Junior Beach Tour stops across the country. Each Open team must have at least one player that has earned a bid to qualify their team in the Open Division. There is also a Club Division for all participants to compete in that have not earned a bid.

“I am extremely excited and happy to have the USAV Junior Beach Tour Championships held in Siesta Key, Florida. I have been very fortunate to travel the world and visit many beaches, but Siesta Key has always been special and one of my favorite beaches,” said Mark Paaluhi, USAV Junior Beach Tour Manager.

The opening three days, July 20-22, will host the Boys 12U/14U Open and Club, and Girls 12U/16U Open and Club Divisions. The final days, July 23-25, will host the Boys 16U/18U Open and Club, and Girl’ 14U/18U Open and Club Divisions.

USA Volleyball is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of volleyball in the United States and is recognized as such by the Federation Internationale de Volleyball and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). Participation and performance in the JBT throughout the season earns athlete bids to the season ending USAV Junior Beach Tour Championships.
