COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 12, 2018) – The top-ranked U.S. team of Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena finished fourth at the KATARA Beach Volleyball Cup, a four-star FIVB World Tour event on Saturday.
Dalhausser and Lucena fell to Qatar’s eighth-seeded Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan, 21-19, 19-21, 15-13 in the bronze medal match.
The next FIVB World Tour event with U.S. teams scheduled to compete is the one-star tournament on April 2-8 in Satun, Thailand.
The next four-star tournament is April 16-22 in Xiamen, China.
NORCECA BEACH TOUR
The 2018 NORCECA Beach Tour is scheduled to start with an event April 12-15 in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
There will be a playoff on March 14 in Manhattan Beach, Calif., (south side of the pier) to determine which U.S. teams will compete in Aguascalientes along with the NORCECA events in Lap Paz, Mexico (April 19-22) and Cuba (May 3-7).
