Job Description
The Assistant, Indoor Events is a regular full-time administrative position reporting to the Senior
Manager, Indoor Events. The successful candidate will be an experienced administrative
professional tasked with assisting in all aspects of support. Minimal travel will be needed for this position.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
• Handle direct customer service inquiries and/or requests.
• Respond to email inquiries from the general mailbox and phone calls that pertain to the Events Department and our events.
• Assist in processing all incoming event-related revenues.
• Assist with preparing, packing, distributing, or shipping all materials as required.
• Assist with pre-tournament ticket process for all Championship Events to include helping with
the setup of the ticket portal and verbiage of notification correspondence; lead customer service; ordering necessary supplies.
• Produce correspondence, reports, presentations, spread sheets and special projects.
• File and process event registrations (data entry) utilizing in-house system.
• Assist with Event specific inventory to include supplies and gear.
• Assist in the verification process of registration and work with volleyball regions concerning their registrations/data.
• Post tournaments results on the website.
• Provide in-office support for event department staff, specifically when staff are absent from the office conducting events.
• Assist in overall quality of the USA Volleyball domestic events, including all tasks as assigned by the Manager, Events.
• Provide optimal customer service to members, athlete, coaches, general public, and fellow employees.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
• Experience in business or sport administration or related field.
• Advanced level experience with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or on a team.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks.
• Experience working with database systems is a plus.
• Experience working with sport entities (USOPC/NGB/Region/Clubs) is a plus.
• Experience training constituents on computer programs/databases is a plus
• Must successfully pass a USAV background screen (prior to hire date).
• Must complete SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date and keep current as a condition of continued employment.
Salary: $18-$20/hr.

Job Description
The Director, Officials Development is responsible for administrating all department functions and operations for Officials Development across all disciplines (Indoor, Outdoor, and Para). The Director serves as the primary administrative leader of the department, ensuring that policies, procedures, systems, and programs are developed, implemented, and maintained in alignment with organizational goals. This role provides direct oversight of departmental staff, budget management, strategic planning, and the coordination of programs and services that support the development and advancement of officials at all levels. The Director partners across internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of Officials Development initiatives. Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
• Administrate overall department functions, including staff supervision, budget oversight, policy and procedure development, and strategic planning for all Officials Development programs and initiatives.
• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive national officials’ pipeline strategy across all disciplines, with intentional focus on recruitment, progression pathways, and retention, ensuring diverse, equitable, and inclusive representation at all levels, including international appointments.
• Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic goals for the Officials Development department in alignment with USAV organizational priorities.
• Manage the department budget, including forecasting, allocation, and monitoring of expenditures to ensure fiscal accountability.
• Supervise and provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for Officials Development departmental staff.
• Ensure Independent Contractor service standards and contractual terms are established, executed, and adhered to across all areas of the department.
• Oversee the National Officials Development Program (NODP), including communications, camps, recruitment, selection, assignments, registration, housing, and logistics.
• Oversee the Head Officials Certification Program, including the application process, Head Official Mentors, certification, and selection of head officials. Develop recertification process for the future of the program.
• Oversee Officials Development event management for domestic and international events, including recruitment, selection, contracts, assignments, registration, housing, and logistics; work collaboratively with the Events department to secure head officials, assignors, and workroom staff.
• Establish national minimum standards and competencies for all officials ratings, including Provisional and Regional; RVAs administer certification to those standards.
• Lead and manage the strategic relationship with the Officials’ Assembly (OA) and Administrative Council (AC), ensuring alignment on national priorities, policy development, and officials’ pipeline strategy; assist with Officials Assembly elections as needed.
• Serve as a liaison to PAVO and NCAA Officials Committees across all disciplines, and provide support to the Rules Commission and designated USAV Officials Commissions.
• Lead a continuous improvement strategy for Officials Development by proactively engaging stakeholders and leveraging data, feedback, and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and drive ongoing enhancements.
• Serve as a national leader within the officiating community, building strong relationships with volunteer officials, RVA leadership, and commission structures to foster engagement, alignment, and a cohesive national officiating network.
• Serve as Chief Editor of the USAV Rules Books, Casebooks, and Rules Interpretations; ensure all educational, training, testing, and rating materials across all disciplines in the USAV Academy are updated, edited, and ready for implementation in advance of each new season, in conjunction with the Instructional Systems Designer.
• Oversee the distribution of all USAV Officials training materials and manage all official assignments at both the national and international level, including updating VIS for International Match Counts and M4 Forms.

Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in administrating sport programs
• National level officiating experience
• Proven supervisory experience and ability to lead a hybrid team
• Possess solid leadership skills with an ability to work effectively and accomplish tasks, projects, and goals through influencing others within a complex organizational structure
• International and/or multiple disciplinary officiating experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of complex sport structures both internationally and domestically.
• Familiarity with database systems for registration, and E-Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• BS/BA in sports management, related field or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).

• Monitor and respond to customer support emails, general inquiries, and routine service requests, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate staff member when needed.
• Draft, distribute, and maintain routine communications, updates, and announcements related to seasonal processes, deadlines, policies, and operational changes.
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for club leaders and regional stakeholders by helping communicate expectations, next steps, and available resources clearly and consistently.
Roster and Membership Administration
• Maintain and update team rosters on a regular basis, with particular attention to locked teams, roster accuracy, and applicable deadlines.
• Assist clubs and members with roster changes, player eligibility questions, and related administrative requirements in accordance with regional and USA Volleyball policies.
• Provide support for membership-related processes, including helping users identify the correct membership type, complete registration steps, resolve payment issues, and navigate the Membership Management System (MMS).
• Assist members and clubs with SafeSport training requirements, background screening processes, eligibility questions, and basic technical troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of the Membership Management System in order to provide effective user support and promote accurate and efficient processing.
Forms and Data Management
• Create, distribute, collect, and maintain forms and related documents required for club compliance, season administration, and regional operations.
• Review submitted information for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness, and follow up with clubs or members as needed to resolve missing or inconsistent data.
• Maintain organized digital records and support data-entry processes to help ensure reliable reporting and smooth operational workflows.
Event and Operational Support
• Assist with seasonal and event-related operational tasks, including officials’ assignments, payment coordination, event scheduling, seeding support, and related administrative follow-through.
• Support the creation, setup, and maintenance of season events within the Event Management System (EMS), helping ensure event information is accurate and current.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and contribute to ongoing operational planning, task coordination, and follow-up actions across the SCSN team.
• Provide general administrative and logistical support to help ensure regional events and seasonal activities are organized and executed effectively.
Finance and Administrative Support
• Assist with routine financial and administrative processes, including tracking event invoices, maintaining organized records, and supporting adherence to budget parameters and internal procedures.

Website and Systems Support

Club development and regional growth
• Support onboarding efforts for new clubs entering the SCSN region by helping communicate requirements, timelines, processes, and available resources.

• Contribute to a positive service experience that strengthens club relationships and supports regional retention and growth efforts.

The Sitting National Teams (PC/PT) Performance Coach/Physical Therapist is a regular full-time position providing primary support for the Men’s and Women’s Sitting National Teams. This position works closely with other sports medicine and performance team members to enhance athlete wellness and performance by providing and coordinating athletic performance & physical therapy services. This position reports to the program director, Sitting National Team.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
• Model and uphold a culture of respect, psychological safety, and athlete-centered care in all interactions with athletes, coaching staff, and medical team members, recognizing that the foundation of elite performance is built on trust.
• Design and implement comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for all resident and non-resident athletes, maintaining detailed records of individual participation, progress, and performance outcomes.
• Oversee athlete training sessions in person for resident athletes and via video or other electronic platforms for non-resident athletes, ensuring consistent program delivery across both populations.
• Develop individualized modifications to lifting technique and programming that account for each athlete’s functional needs, optimizing training effectiveness and maintaining the highest standards of safety.
• Conduct weekly video-based technical analysis with non-resident athletes to evaluate movement quality, refine lifting mechanics, and ensure program adherence.
• Administer quarterly strength and bilateral balance evaluations for all athletes, as well as on-court assessments to measure the practical effectiveness of the Strength & Conditioning program, maintaining comprehensive records for each individual.
• Collaborate with Head Coaches and the Director of Sitting Teams to develop and refine the annual strength training plan and yearly periodization framework.
• Participate in the integrated planning process for overall athlete development, contributing Strength & Conditioning expertise to cross-functional program decisions.
• Adhere to and apply standards and best practices set forth by the National Strength and Conditioning Association across all programming and service delivery.\Partner with program athletic trainers and medical providers to coordinate and deliver physical therapy, manual therapy, and rehabilitation services for all athletes, maintaining thorough clinical records for each individual.

Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree – Kinesiology, Physiology, Exercise Science, Education, or related field preferred.
• Five (5) years strength coaching at the elite junior, collegiate, national or international level preferred. Previous work with Paralympic programs desirable.
• Must possess a Strength & Conditioning certification.
• Five (5) years Physical Therapy experience with an emphasis on athletes.
• Must possess a Physical Therapy certification.
• Proven ability to promote sport performance.
• No record of malpractice claims, professional boundary violation, or State Board sanctions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and working knowledge of computer programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including athletes, coaches, administrative staff, and other medical personnel

The Case Coordinator, SafeSport is a regular full-time salaried position reporting to General Counsel. This position’s primary role is to support regions and staff regarding SafeSport cases
to include receiving, reporting and tracking complaints of abuse and misconduct, ensuring compliance and auditing activities related to case tracking and events are communicated. This position is expected to communicate with regions, staff, and the U.S. Center for SafeSport on a regular and expedited basis regarding SafeSport cases. Minimal travel may be required.

• Serve as USA Volleyball’s primary liaison with the USOPC, U.S. Center for SafeSport Compliance and Investigations and Resolution departments and other NGB’s, in all matters related to athlete safety.
• Keep supervisor and management apprised of all important issues related to USA Volleyball’s athlete protection efforts.
• Serve as staff liaison to the RVAA SafeSport Working Group, providing information on current initiatives, requirements, and provide feedback on issues that affect the RVAA.
• Monitor and respond to the USAV General SafeSport Inbox.
• Be the initial and primary point of contact for all complaints and related questions related to abuse and misconduct.
• Receive and acknowledge all complaints in a timely manner that come through the USAV National SafeSport hotline and email.
• Provide communication, in a timely manner, to all relevant parties on progress and status of complaints as appropriate.
Maintain records on all cases logging investigation information, activities and status of cases.
• Ensure that the case tracking system is maintained and current, and provide updates and status reports as appropriate to supervisor.
• Collaborate with the SafeSport Education and Training Coordinator on training opportunities and to helps disseminate information through USAV constituent groups.
• Assist on a region-by-region basis as requested.

Qualifications
