Job Description
The COO is a regular full-time position reporting to the CEO. The incumbent will have a strong background in volleyball event management and possess excellent financial, operational and leadership skills. The position is responsible for overseeing assigned departments (Events, Member Services, IT, Officials, Warehouse Operations), and will play a key role in cultivating and promoting region relations. Cross departmental support is a general expectation of all USAV employees. Extended hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. The position is located in Colorado Springs. A temporary remote arrangement may be available.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but aren’t necessarily limited to:
• Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
• Work closely with other USAV executives to align operational activities with USAV’s overall business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning across assigned departments.
• Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and drive data-driven decision making.

• Develop and execute strategies for operational risk management and business continuity planning.

• Oversee the planning and execution of volleyball tournaments, and special events.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field or relevant worker experience.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in volleyball sports management, with at least five years in a senior leadership role. Experience leading a large, affiliated volleyball region is preferred.
• Previous experience as a board member or audit, budget and finance role is a plus.
• Proven work experience in volleyball operations, rules, and governing structures is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the evolving indoor, beach and para volleyball landscape.
• Proven track record in operational management within the volleyball or broader sports industry.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of digital technologies and their application in sports management.
• Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
• Must successfully complete SafeSport certification within two weeks of hire date. Training must be maintained throughout employment.
Salary: $220,000-$250,000

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant is a regular full-time position reporting to the Chief of People and Culture. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department as well as the Organizational Inclusion Strategist. Extended hours may be required to include nights, weekends, and holidays. The position is located in Colorado Springs.

Administrative Support
• Maintain employee personnel and benefit records in the HR/Payroll database.
• Process and file HR-related hard copy documents and digital files.

Job Description
We are seeking two highly organized, self-motivated, and customer-focused individuals that will serve in a multifaceted role working across various programs within USA Volleyball.
The Coordinator, Operations & Spectator Services’ primary responsibility will be to oversee the logistical and operational aspects of spectator admission during large-scale events. This role requires strong organizational and crowd management skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Outside of the events season, the coordinator will support other areas of USA Volleyball with special projects, organizational initiatives, and general customer service. Extended hours may be required to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel up to 50% of the time is expected. The position is located in Colorado Springs and is not eligible for remote work.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
Event Spectator Admission
• Logistics and Venue Coordination: Lead overall front of house logistics, including advance planning prior to the event, setting up and managing online admission sales, collaborating with security and venue staff, and overseeing the setup of essential event equipment such as informational signage and self-service purchase systems.
• Traffic Flow Management: Analyze spectator traffic patterns to optimize flow, continuously adjusting as needed throughout the event. Establish queue lines for spectators, coaches, and athletes. Set up directional signage continuously monitor and adjust the flow throughout the event to ensure smooth movement and minimal congestion.
• Equipment and Facility Management: Coordinate the packing, setup, and operation of spectator admission supplies and equipment.
• Compliance and Verification: Verify spectator information against SafeSport banned lists, check coach passes, and ensure adherence to ADA regulations and venue policies.
• Contract Support: Review contractual provisions with support staff and ensure service terms are met.
• Customer Service and Confidentiality: Respond to customer inquiries via email and maintain confidentiality in all operations. Provide on-the-ground support to resolve issues as they arise.
• Facility Assessment: Conduct site visits to assess new venues, perform walk-throughs to identify areas of concern, and determine signage needs for smooth spectator experiences. Work closely with the events department in designing entrance area providing information to venue decorators.
Organizational Support
• Staff Social Event Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of staff social activities, fostering a sense of community and engagement within the organization.
• Customer Service: Support membership related customer support during season transition. Assist with processing refunds, coding invoices, and verifying background screenings.
• Ad Hoc Support: Outside of the event season, assist various departments with special projects, such as inventory management, organizing archives, and other administrative needs.

Qualifications
• Five years experience preferred in a fast paced customer service environment.
• Proven experience preferred identifying and implementing areas of efficiency.
• Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, including spectators, athletes, coaches, and venue staff.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
• Experience in crowd flow management and queue optimization.
• Ability to assess venues for potential logistical challenges and opportunities.
• Ability to read and interpret venue layouts and CAD drawings is a plus.

Job Description
The Manager, SafeSport is a regular full-time salaried position reporting to General Counsel. This position’s primary role is to support regions and staff regarding SafeSport matters to include receiving, reporting and tracking complaints of abuse and misconduct, ensuring compliance and auditing activities are communicated, met and tracked, while also promoting education materials and raising the platform of athlete safety. Minimal travel may be required to annual meetings. Extended hours are to be expected to include some nights, weekends and holidays.
Cross departmental support is a general expectation of all USAV employees. The position is in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
• Serve as USA Volleyball’s primary liaison with the USOPC, U.S. Center for SafeSport’s Education and Outreach, Compliance and Investigations and Resolution departments and other NGBs, in all matters related to athlete safety.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safe sport matters within the organization.
• Implement, disseminate, educate staff and regularly review safe sport policies and procedures put forth by the U.S. Center for SafeSport.
• Keep supervisor and management apprised of all important issues related to USA Volleyball’s athlete protection efforts.
• Ensure organizational compliance with all relevant safe sport policies, regulations and company requirements.
• Serve as staff liaison to the RVAA SafeSport Working Group, providing information on current
initiatives, requirements, and provide feedback on issues that affect the RVAA.
• Monitor and respond to the USAV General SafeSport inbox.
• As the initial and primary point of contact, respond promptly and appropriately to incidents or allegations of misconduct.
• Systematically acknowledge, review and triage incoming complaints, ensuring proper categorization and routing to the appropriate investigative and resolution body for timely and
effective resolution.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all cases
• Provide communication, in a timely manner, to all relevant parties on progress and status of complaints as appropriate.
• Systematically document, catalogue and maintain comprehensive records for all cases, including detailed logs of investigation information, associated activities, and current case status. Records on all cases logging investigation information, activities and status of cases.
• Ensure that there is an effective tracking system and provide updates and status reports as appropriate to supervisor.
• Continually monitor relevant subject matter, identify issues and trends, and keep USA Volleyball national and regional leadership informed.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, social services, law enforcement, related degree or equivalent work experience.

The Head Coach, USA Women’s National Team (WNT) is a regular full-time position reporting directly to the Chief of Sport. The position is responsible for all WNT activities to include but not necessarily limited to: develop national team athletes and coach the team to achieve international success, hire and manage departmental staff, prepare and administer the approved Women’s National Team budget, and develop policies, procedures, support systems for the team and staff. Extensive domestic and international travel is required. This position is currently located in Anaheim, California.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
•Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the department toward the achievement of USAV’s Strategic and the Department’s Operating Plans.
• Supervise staff and provide oversight to those direct reports that have supervisory responsibilities.
• Recruit, evaluate and select athletes into the Women’s National Team.
• Develop, implement, and oversee training and evaluation programs for athletes.
• Make final determinations of athletes to represent the United States in National Team events.
• Make final determinations of coaches to represent the United States in National Team events.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce a Player Policy Manual or appropriate policies.
• Plan and develop, in consultation with senior staff, an annual competitive schedule for the WNT.
• Manage all aspects of involvement in competitive matches.
• Involve consultants in the WNT program as necessary and appropriate to achieve team success.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure player health and fitness.
• Develop, implement, and oversee opponent scouting program.
• Coordinate elite coach selection and development with Chief of Sport and CEO (as needed).
• Assist with general team management responsibilities.
• Support personal, sponsor and media appearance requirements and other public and promotional activities as reasonably requested.
• Consult with the Chief of Sport to develop and manage assigned budget areas (e.g., travel, athlete support, equipment, “B” Team program, etc.)
• Liaison with member organizations as necessary and appropriate.
• Provide input and recommendations for office, gymnasium, media and other operational needs.
• Manage direct reports in a competent and professional manner.
• Engage with media, fans and stakeholders to promote the team’s image positively.
• Work with staff members in identifying professional development opportunities.
• Conduct at least one informal mid-year performance review and an end-of-year formal performance review meeting with each direct report.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in sport management, related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience coaching elite level volleyball athletes.
• Demonstrate success in achieving winning percentages / seasons in the sport of volleyball.
• Possess solid leadership skills with an ability to work effectively with elite athletes and to motivate individuals to perform effectively as a team.
• Strong understanding of elite level volleyball and its functions within a complex structure both domestically and internationally.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively use core office computer programs.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions during matches.
• Possess the ability to effectively represent USA Volleyball in personal appearances, in the media and in other public forums.
• Versed in software platforms used to enhance coach effectiveness and individual athlete as well as team performance.
• Must successfully pass a USAV background screen (prior to hire date).
