SOFIA, Bulgaria (May 19, 2021) – After a couple weeks off, the FIVB Beach World Tour continues May 20-23, 2021 with a 1-Star tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Three USA Volleyball pairs will compete at the four-day competition held in Bulgaria’s capital. In the women’s draw, Sarah Schermerhorn/Aurora Davis and Allie Wheeler/Corinne Quiggle will begin play in the qualification round, which takes place Thursday, May 20. For the men, Adam Roberts/Travis Mewhirter also start play in the qualifier.
The Sofia 1-Star will not offer Olympic Qualification points. The next FIVB Beach World Tour event to count towards Tokyo 2020 qualifying is the Sochi 4-Star May 26-30.
