Try Volleyball for Kids

Try Volleyball for Free

Try Volleyball is a national program designed to introduce kids to the sport at the local level.

Participants receive an engaging and informative introduction to volleyball while also connecting with their local community volleyball organization—all at no cost. Our focus is on fun and accessibility, with the goal of encouraging more kids to play volleyball.

 

*The Try Volleyball for Free event for 2026 has ended. USAV will open Try Volleyball to clubs year-round, please check back soon for more clinics.

What Is Try Volleyball?

  • Free Clinics: Try Volleyball Clinics are free events held in local communities. These clinics provide a safe and fun environment for kids to be active and discover the sport of volleyball.
  • For Grades 1-8: Try Volleyball is open to all children in 1st through 8th grade who are eager to experience volleyball for the first time.
  • Fundamental Skills: It’s the first step to learning fundamental volleyball skills and developing a lasting love for the game.

Host a Try Volleyball 365 Clinic

Try Volleyball 365 gives USAV clubs and organizations the opportunity to host free introductory volleyball clinics throughout the year.

Designed to welcome new athletes and families to the sport, these clinics create a fun, low-pressure first experience while helping clubs build connections in their local communities.

Host a clinic when it works best for your program and help more young athletes discover a love for volleyball.

Before You Register to Host
Please ensure you have the following information before registering to host:

  1. Dates secured
  2. Facility secured (name of facility and full address)
  3. Times secured (we recommend 1-1.5 hours but will allow clinic times up to three hours

 

Attend a Try Volleyball Clinic

Try Volleyball for Free was a huge success in 2026. Registration is currently closed.

Participant Requirements
To participate in the clinics, you must:

  • Be in 1st to 8th grade.
  • Register online before attending the clinic. Use the map below to find a clinic near you.
