2024 Olympic Games: Nuss/Kloth vs. CAN (Round of 16)

The U.S. beach team of Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss came from behind late in both sets on Monday before falling to Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson of Canada in the Paris Round of 16, 2-0 (21-19, 21-18). Kloth/Nuss posted a 3-1 record in their first Olympic appearance and finished ninth.

The U.S. beach team of Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss rallied from one set down to finish 3-0 and finish first in Pool B with a 2-1 (15-21, 21-16, 15-12) two-hour win over Xue Chen and Xia Xinyi of China on Thursday. Kloth/Nuss advanced directly to the Round of 16, which begins on Sunday, Aug. 4.

Facing the silver medalists from the Tokyo Games, the U.S. beach team of Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss stayed unbeaten in the Paris Olympics with a 2-0 (21-16, 21-16) victory over Mariafe Artacho Del Solar and Taliqua Clancy of Australia on Monday.

Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss, the No. 2 team ranked women's beach team in the world, started strong and never looked back in a 2-0 (21-17, 21-14) over the team of Heather Bansley and Sophie Bukovec of Canada in their opening match in the Paris Olympics on Saturday.

Four pairs – two women’s, two men’s – will represent the U.S. at the beach volleyball event taking place at Eiffel Tower Stadium for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. All but one of the U.S. athletes (Kelly Cheng) are first-time Olympians. Cheng tied for ninth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with Sarah Sponcil.
