2026 USA Volleyball Girls Junior Club Championship

1. What is the Girls Junior Club Championship (GJCC)?
   • The GJCC is a new, stand-alone, non-bid national championship event hosted by USA Volleyball, designed specifically for girls junior club teams in the 10u-17u divisions. The inaugural event will take place June 5-7, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio.
2. How is this event different from USAV’s Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC)?
   • The GJCC is a non-bid event — teams do not need to qualify or earn a bid to participate.
   • The event is open to any USAV club that wishes to enter teams and participate.
   • The event will replace the Patriot Division for 10u-17u divisions at the GJNC, freeing up more space for bid-awarded teams at the GJNC
3. Why was the GJCC created?
   • The GJCC was developed to:
     • Provide a high-quality non-bid national championship option for clubs and teams.
     • Offer more clubs an opportunity to experience a national event atmosphere.
     • Expand opportunities for USAV clubs during the current quadrennial.
     • Support continued growth and better meet demand for USAV-sanctioned events.
     • Allow for additional Junior National Qualifier (JNQ) events to be added throughout the country, reducing travel costs for many clubs.
4. What is the format of the GJCC?
   • Three-day event (Friday–Sunday)
     • Day 1: Pool Play
     • Day 2: Challenge Rounds by division
     • Day 3: Bracket Play with awards across all levels (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper brackets)
   • A Club Cup will also be awarded to the top overall club across all divisions.
5. Will there still be a patriot division at the 18s GJNC?
   • Yes. There will still be an 18s Patriot division at 18s GJNC.
6. Who can enter the GJCC?
   • Any USAV-affiliated club team that:
     • Is registered with USA Volleyball through its region
     • Meets USAV membership and eligibility requirements
     • Submits an entry before the registration deadline (pending space availability)
7. Will this event rotate to other cities in the future?
   • The inaugural GJCC will be held in Columbus, Ohio, with plans to rotate or expand to other major volleyball destinations as the event grows.
8. Can a team compete in both the USAV Girls Junior Club Championships (GJCC) and the Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC)?
   • No. Teams may only compete in one of the two USA Volleyball national championship events — either the GJCC or the GJNC, not both. If a team registers for the GJCC and later earns a qualifying bid to the GJNC, they must withdraw from the GJCC to participate in the GJNC. This policy ensures a clear and fair separation between the two events and allows USAV to optimize scheduling, space and competitive integrity across both championships.
9. Can a player compete in both the USAV Girls Junior Club Championships (GJCC) and the Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC)?
   • A Club may add a maximum of 2 players from an already Qualified 14-17s team, or 11-13s team, to a team competing at the Girls Junior Club Championship, provided the players are within the same club, and are not
     frozen to a roster of a team that will be competing in USA, National, or Open at the GJNCs. (Meaning up to 2 players who are frozen to a roster who will be competing in a Freedom, American or Liberty division at the GJNCs may be added to a roster for GJCC).

Registration for the 2026 Girls Junior Club Championship will open December 9, 2026 at 12:00 PM Noon EST/ 10:00 AM MST

Division Sizes:

10u – 16 teams

11u – 24 teams

12u – 48 teams

13u – 64 teams

14u – 80 teams

15u – 96 teams

16u – 96 teams

17u – 80 teams

*Please note: Each age division will be limited to 2 teams per club.  If the age groups are not filled, we will then consider increasing this limit.

Each age division will feature multiple competitive playoff divisions:

• • Division 1, Division 2, Division 3
    This allows for teams of varying skill levels to compete in a national championship environment.
  • Divisions will be set after pool play on day one; teams will not self-select a division during registration.

Overall team count for the 2026 Girls Junior Club Championship will be fluid and may change from the initial registration opening count. Due to changing circumstances, some divisions may increase and decrease as our team count fluctuates. Please be aware of this before registering and understand this may be the case up to the event.

Entry Fees: 

• $900 per team

Refund Policy: Accepted and tentatively accepted teams that drop before Friday, January 16, 2026, will receive a full refund. From January 16, 2026 to May 2, 2026, teams will only receive a 50% refund. After May 2, 2026, teams that drop will forfeit their entire entry fee.

** Please note, for any team that has paid the entry fee for GJCC that later earns a bid to a GJNC, your entry fee from GJCC will be transferred to your GJNC entry.

Housing will open Monday, December 15, 2025.

2026 Housing Registration Process

A USAV Team Code is required to purchase a spectator registration. Your club director will provide each team with their unique USAV Team Code.

Spectator Registration QR Codes will go on sale May 22nd, 2026.
