COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 9, 2025) – Fourteen athletes have been named to the U.S. Men’s Sitting National Team roster for the 2025 World ParaVolley World Cup, Oct. 12-18, at the Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The World Cup, being hosted in the United States for the first time, will feature 14 teams on the men’s side. The U.S. is in Pool A with Canada, Kazakhstan, Italy, Poland, France and Thailand. Pool B includes Egypt, Brazil, Japan, Croatia, the Netherlands, India and Australia.
Egypt enters as the tournament’s top seed at World No. 2, followed by Brazil at No. 5 and Kazakhstan at No. 7. The U.S. is ranked No. 8 and will open play on Oct. 12 at 10:30 a.m. PT against Thailand. All matches will be streamed live on the Turnstone YouTube channel.
This is the U.S. Men’s third international event of 2025. The team won silver at the ParaVolley Pan American Cup in May and struck gold at the Dutch Tournament in July.
Head coach Greg Walker leads a talented squad that includes five Paralympians, including two-time Paralympian Eric Duda (outside hitter). Ben Aman (outside hitter), James Stuck (outside hitter), John Kremer (setter) and Dan Regan (outside hitter) all competed in Rio 2016.
“We’ve built momentum throughout the season and this World Cup is another opportunity to test ourselves against the best,” Walker said. “Our veterans bring leadership and stability, while our younger players continue to raise the bar. We’re excited to compete on home soil and keep growing as we prepare for LA 2028.”
The remaining nine athletes bring a mix of experience and emerging talent: libero Nick Dadgostar, a mainstay since 2017; opposite Zach Upp, one of the team’s top scorers since 2018; outside hitter Sam Surowiec, who debuted internationally in 2014; and rising stars Alex Wilson (opposite/outside), outside hitters Robbie Gaupp, Robbie Onusko, Jason Roberts and Brett Parks, plus setter/libero Will Curtis.
