Beach National Team IC Coach

Drew Hamilton is a Beach National Team independent contractor coach, currently working with Kristen Nuss Cruz and Taryn Brasher

Born in Texas and now based in Louisiana, Drew works with athletes across junior, collegiate and professional levels and has been part of one of the nation’s top NCAA beach volleyball programs.

He has helped develop elite athletes including Cruz and Brasher, who went on to form a dominant collegiate partnership, finishing undefeated in NCAA competition before moving into international and Olympic-level play.

Drew also trains athletes within the USA Volleyball junior national team pipeline, including U18, U19 and U21 World Championship gold, silver and bronze medal-winning athletes. That experience keeps him closely connected to the demands of international junior competition and the standards required to succeed at the next level.

Through his club, Future Beach Volleyball, Drew plays an active role in junior athlete development, creating training environments designed to prepare players for success at the highest levels of collegiate beach volleyball and international play. His programs emphasize technical development, tactical understanding, competitive repetition and long-term athlete progression.

Drew’s coaching philosophy centers on individual skill mastery, decision making and building training environments that reflect the demands of elite competition. He believes that with the right coaching, structure and commitment, athletes can train and thrive from any location while still reaching the highest levels of the sport.

Drew lives in Denham Springs with his wife Mary and their dogs, Timo and Zelda.
