COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Aug. 1, 2026) – Fourteen athletes have been selected to compete for the U.S. at the NORCECA Boys U17 Pan American Cup in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Aug. 4-9, 2026.
The athletes were chosen after a weeklong training roster at the National Team Training Center in Anaheim, Calif. This is the second-ever tournament for a U.S. Boys U17 national team; last year, the team finished third at the NORCECA Continental Championship in its first international appearance.
Ten of the athletes from that inaugural squad will compete this year: outside hitters Logan Flores, Sid Saikanth, Gabe Desiderio and Noah Mbaitoloum; libero Collin Tullis; setters Dane Schaefer and Carter Tchaikovsky; middle blockers Nikodem Opiola and Frankie Vincent; and opposite Jackson Real. Four athletes will make their U.S. competition debut: middle blocker Nolan Barrett, outside hitter Louis “Lula” Kordus III, opposite Gavin McWaters and setter Jonah Tuaniga.
Former U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Team assistant coach Mike Wall will lead the team. He’s joined by Steven Duhoux (Ohio State) and Tom Stillwell (NTDP).
The team opens play against Mexico on Aug. 4 at 1 p.m., followed by pool play matches against Puerto Rico and Canada at the same time on Aug. 5 and 6.
