Beach National Team Assistant Development Coach
Chris Flood Joined USA Volleyball in 2025. Chris brings a wealth of experience developing athletes from junior levels to elite professionals competing on the FIVB Tour and the Olympic stage. With a deep passion for the sport, he takes a holistic coaching approach, emphasizing technical mastery, mental resilience, and strategic gameplay. His expertise in player development, video analysis, and in-game strategy has been instrumental in guiding athletes to success. As an assistant coach at Pepperdine University and on the FIVB Tour, he has worked closely with top-tier athletes, helping them refine their skills, adapt to competition demands, and excel at the highest levels. His ability to break down complex game situations and implement effective training programs has earned him a reputation as a premier coach in the sport.
Beyond his collegiate and international coaching roles, Chris has made a significant impact on youth and club volleyball, coaching at Mira Costa High School and leading teams at Sunshine Volleyball Club. His leadership contributed to state and national championships, as well as the development of countless athletes who have gone on to compete at collegiate and professional levels. As an assistant coach for Team Canada, he played a key role in their historic performances, including a fifth-place finish at the Tokyo Olympics and multiple FIVB accolades. His dedication to fostering a competitive yet supportive environment continues to shape the future of beach volleyball, inspiring athletes to achieve their fullest potential.
