Athletic Trainer

Samantha Carter joined the U.S. Women’s Sitting National Team as its athletic trainer in February 2025.

She was an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Central Oklahoma for the last year, and she also works with USA Softball on a contract basis. Previously, she was an athletic trainer with KORT Physical Therapy in Kentucky and an athletic trainer at both Midwestern State University and UC San Diego.

Originally from Poteau, Oklahoma, she was a two-sport athlete at Howe High School and later played collegiate basketball while earning an associate degree in allied health. She received her bachelor’s in kinesiology from Northeastern State University, where she discovered her passion for athletic training. In 2015, she earned her master’s in athletic training from the University of Central Oklahoma.

In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, puzzles, learning to play the guitar and staying active.
