Event Information
All spectators are required to purchase tickets for entry into the 2023 Sunshine Classic. USAV is using an electronic ticketing system and the electronic ticket (QR code) and photo identification will be required for each entry and re-entry into the facility.

Q: Where can I find the schedule?
A: It will be posted at the beginning of the week of play
Q: What are the entry times and location?
A: Entry will be located on the NORTH CONCOURSE
- AM Waves – Doors will open at 7AM. Once you have completed your work assignments and matches for the day please leave the facility.
- PM Waves – Door will open at 2:30 p.m., to allow AM waves to leave after their scheduled 1 p.m. game.
Q: What is the tiebreaker procedure?
A: Please see the tiebreaking procedure flow chart (PDF).
Q: What is the last-day forfeit policy?
A: A penalty of $100 will be issued for any last-day forfeits.
Q: What is the ticketing policy?
A: Tickets for parents & spectators will go on sale February 10th. Coaches & Rostered Staff- will receive an email with how to redeem their free QR Code the day before the event starts. Rostered Staff includes anyone listed on the Officials Roster. Players- will not need or receive QR code/wristband/bag tag. They will enter through Athlete Entrance
Q: Are the matches livestreamed?
A: Leave the cameras and tripods at home and enjoy the action – live! We have partnered with BallerTV to provide professional live streaming for this event. They have the necessary liability insurance and expertise to set up video equipment to protect athletes and fans. Any other live streaming, including the use of Facebook Live, is strictly prohibited.

Q: What is the concession and seating policy?
A: No outside food, coolers or chairs are allowed in the convention center. The Orange County Convention Center will be selling food in the venue and have made an effort to provide a good variety of options.
Q: What is the parking situation?
A: There is a $20 fee ($40 for oversized vehicles) per vehicle, per entry, to park at the convention center.
Q: Are there practice opportunities?
A: There will not be any practice times available at the convention center.
Q: Balls and Carts
A: USA Volleyball will not be providing warm-up balls or carts for rent.
Q: Is there luggage storage?
A: There will not be an area designated for luggage storage at the convention center. Please arrange with your hotel.

*16 American – will be split between AM & PM Wave and announced with final schedule
AM Wave: 8 AM Start – 11 National, 12 National, 12 USA, 17 USA, 16 Liberty, 16 Open, 17 Open
PM Wave: 3 PM Start– 12 American, 17 Liberty, 17 American, 16 USA, 18 Club
Start times for 2nd and 3rd day of play will depend on the team’s finish from the day before.
Last Day of Play: We recommend that you do not schedule any departing flights prior to 6:00pm.
Registration will open on the following dates:
Weekend 1- 13s-15s: September 21st, 12pm EST (CLICK HERE for the registration page)
Weekend 2- 11s, 12s, 16s-17s & 18 Club: October 7th, 12pm EST (CLICK HERE for the registration page)
PLEASE NOTE: Teams will no longer need to create a roster in order to be accepted in the tournament. All rosters must be submitted by February 8th. (Edits can still be made to the roster all the way up until Online Check-In.) Acceptance will first be given to teams who have completed all requirements. A team’s registration time stamp will be used once a division fills up and moves to a waitlist status.

Divisions: The following is the ranking of divisions, starting with the most elite, for the 2023 Sunshine Classic:

Entry Fees:
- $840 per team (12s – 17s)
- $740 per team (11s & 18s) *11s will play a 3-day format.
Refund Policy:
Teams not accepted into Sunshine Volleyball Classic: Full Refund
Registration Deadline: January 20
Refund Deadline: January 27
Roster Deadline: February 8
Note: Divisions will fill quickly. Once a division fills, those teams still in a pending status will be placed on a waitlist, and notified once a spot opens.
Reminder: Due to the fees imposed by credit card merchants, all credit card payments will incur a $25 non-refundable convenience fee. There are no convenience fees for paying by check.
If a team is denied entry into the tournament, because the field is filled, the team may elect to cancel its application and receive a full refund of its entry fee, OR the team may elect to go on a waiting list.
A team on a waiting list may drop out and obtain a full refund of its entry fee as long as we have not yet accepted the team into the tournament from the waitlist. To qualify for this, a team on the waitlist must have notified us in writing of their desire to drop before they receive notification of being accepted from the waitlist.
The number of bids to the GJNC for any of the Divisions is dependent on the number of teams in that division. The table below shows the bid allocations for each of the age divisions based on the number of teams entered in that division.
