At USA Volleyball, our commitment to transparency and collaboration remains at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to strengthen the foundation of our sport nationwide, we are sharing an important update regarding our operations in Southern California and Southern Nevada.
USA Volleyball and the Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA) have reached a mutual agreement about the future of the area. As part of this agreement, SCVA will no longer be a Region of USA Volleyball. SCVA will continue to run the Red Rock Rave Qualifier as a USAV-sanctioned event, offering athletes and teams the opportunity to compete for bids to the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship. We extend our sincere gratitude to Ann Davenport for her decades of leadership and dedication.
To ensure continued support and opportunity for athletes, coaches, officials, and families, the USAV Board of Directors approved the creation of a new organization—SCSN—to serve Southern California and Southern Nevada. SCSN will be governed by an independent board of directors appointed by the USAV Board.
This transition underscores our ongoing commitment to ensuring the sport is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with our mission and values—both on and off the court. As the national governing body, we are focused on building a unified, transparent, and well-governed future for volleyball across all regions.
