COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 31, 2024) – More than 100 girls and boys athletes are at Dockweiler Beach, Playa del Rey, California, on July 29-Aug. 1 for the 2024 Beach National Team Development Program Summer Training Series.
This training gives junior and collegiate beach volleyball athletes the chance to practice with and compete against some of the best athletes in the United States while receiving guidance from top coaches.
There are six training sessions in the following age groups: Men’s U20, Boys U19-U16, Women’s U20, Girls U19-U15.
Twenty-one USA Volleyball regions are represented by the Summer Training Series athletes: Aloha, Arizona, Carolina, Chesapeake, Evergreen, Florida, Garden Empire, Great Lakes, Heart of America, Hoosier, Intermountain, Keystone, Lone Star, Northern California, North Texas, Ohio Valley, Palmetto, Pioneer, Puget Sound, Southern, Southern California
Athletes for the Summer Training Series were identified and invited based on recommendations from the Beach NTDP Scouting Network. The scouting network serves as the Beach NTDP talent identification process and includes coaches and experts from across the United States.
All training series are conducted by top Beach NTDP coaches and feature a comprehensive focus on the five pillars of the NTDP: Craft, Mind, Body, Heart and Team.
