COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Last week the 2018 FIVB World Tour season started, and on the NORCECA Continental Tour, the U.S. continues its 2017 schedule with a tournament in the Dominican Republic this week.
USA Volleyball will send four teams to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Sept. 15-17, for the NORCECA Continental Tour.
The U.S. will be represented by two men’s and two women’s teams at the Punta Cana tournament. It is the fifth stop of the 2017 NORCECA season, which has seen many changes to the schedule throughout the year. Representing the U.S. will be Bill Kolinske/Miles Evans, Stafford Slick/Billy Allen, Jace Pardon/Lara Dykstra, and Delaney Knudsen/Corinne Quiggle.
Pardon and Dykstra earned gold in their last NORCECA tournament, in Cuba in July, following a silver they earned in April. Kolinske/Evans earned a silver in June, tying for the top U.S. men’s finish this year.

Still to be determined by NORCECA are tournaments in Ochos Rios, Jamaica, and possibly Varadero, Cuba. In 2017, the U.S. has seven medals on the NORCECA Continental Tour: two silver, one bronze for men’s teams; one gold, one silver and two bronze for women’s teams.
