2024 boys U19 national team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 10, 2024) – USA Volleyball has selected 12 athletes to compete at the 2024 Boys U19 NORCECA Continental Championship on May 14-19 in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

The 12 athletes were chosen from a roster of 21 who are training May 3-11 at the Anaheim national team training center.

All 12 athletes will be making their international debuts for the United States. Grant Lamoureux, who made his age-group national team debut as a U17 athlete on the 2023 Boys U19 National team but did not compete, will lead the charge as team captain.

The U.S. Boys U19 Team has won the last two Pan American Cup tournaments in 2022 and ’23. Most recently, the Boys U19 Team finished fourth at the 2023 FIVB World Championship, which is the age-group national team’s best-ever finish.

Charlie Sullivan, men’s head coach at Springfield College and head coach of the U.S. Boys U19 Team at Worlds last year, will lead the team again with assistance from Pat Shawaryn of Penn State and Chris Seiffert of Concordia Irvine.

Other teams competing are Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Puerto Rico and Suriname. Follow USA Volleyball on social media for streaming information.
