COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 28, 2022) – USA Volleyball has hired Brian Hurler to serve as performance analyst for the Olympic gold medal winning U.S. Women’s National Team.
Hurler joins USAV from Stanford where he served as the technical coordinator for the women’s volleyball team for two seasons.
“We are thrilled have Brian join our team,” said U.S. Women’s National Team Head Coach Karch Kiraly. “We enjoyed getting to know him over the past few summers when, as a consultant, he provided us with invaluable assistance in our preparations for the Olympics.
“Brian’s attributes – his integrity, his passion for volleyball, his creativity and his proficiency in data analytics and statistics, just to name a few – are sure to be impactful on our program, as we strive for constant improvement.”
Prior to Stanford, Hurler spent two seasons at Creighton as the graduate manager-technical coordinator. He was part of the Big East Coaching Staff of the Year.
“The opportunity to join the Women’s National Team staff is an incredible honor,” Hurler said. “This group is committed to perpetual growth and excellence in every facet of our sport. I hope to keep our program on the forefront of volleyball analytics to best support these remarkable athletes and coaches as we pursue challenging goals.”
