COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 26, 2025) – The U.S. Men’s National Team will compete this week at the 2025 NORCECA Pan American Cup, Aug. 26-31 in León, Guanajuato, Mexico. Twelve teams will battle for the title, with the U.S. placed in Pool A alongside Antigua & Barbuda, Cuba and Venezuela.

The United States finished second at last year’s event, falling to Canada 3-1 in the final. Overall, the U.S. has won the Pan Am Cup five times, most recently in 2012. The event awards points toward the FIVB World Rankings and is part of the qualification pathway for the 2026 Pan Am Cup, the 2026 NORCECA Continental Championship and the 2027 Pan American Games.

Head coach Andy Read is confident in his group heading into competition.

“The U.S. team is excited to be here,” Read said. “We have prepared for several weeks, we had several guys who were training with VNL players during the summer, some who just got in (to the U.S. gym), and some players [from] our U23 team. We think we have a very strong team to compete in the most important tournament in our hemisphere this year. We are ready to play.”

The U.S. opens play against Venezuela at 1 p.m. PT today (Aug. 26).
