COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (May 8, 2026) –Men’s collegiate volleyball is in the spotlight this weekend, and USA Volleyball is well-represented among the rosters for the four teams in the NCAA Division I Championship.

Participating athletes and coaches will bring rich experience from NTDP programs and U.S. national teams, underscoring how the NTDP pipeline continues to prepare players for the sport’s highest levels.

The NCAA semifinals are set for Saturday, May 9, at Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA campus. Ball State, seeded No. 4 in tournament, takes on UC Irvine in the first semifinal at 3:30 p.m. PT, followed by No. 2 seed Hawaii vs. No. 3 seed Long Beach State at 6:30 p.m. PT. Both matches will be shown on ESPN+.

The final is set for Monday, May 11, at 4 p.m. PT on ESPN2.

Ball State

Ball State is led by Patrick Rogers, who played with both the senior U.S. Men’s National Team and the U23 National Team in 2025. He earned MVP honors at the 2025 NORCECA Men’s Final Six, leading the U.S. Men to gold. He was also a key player on the U23 team that finished second at the 2025 NORCECA Men’s U23 Pan Am Cup.

Marty Canavan, Cayaban, Jason Harris, Ryan Louis, Patterson, Tyler Windt and Zurawski are all NTDP Training Series athletes, while head coach Mike Iandolo and assistant coach Brian Hogg have both been coaches with the NTDP Training Series.

Hawaii

Six athletes on the Hawaii roster have experience with U.S. age-group national teams, while three (Trevell Jordan, Kainoa Wade and Justin Todd) competed with the Men’s Senior National Team at the 2025 NORCECA Final Six.

  • Tread Rosenthal: 2022 and 2023 Boys U19 National Team, 2024 and 2025 Men’s U21 National Team
  • Justin Todd: 2024 and 2025 Men’s U21 National Team, 2025 (senior) Men’s National Team
  • Kainoa Wade: 2024 and 2025 Men’s U21 National Team, 2025 (senior) Men’s National Team (Best Server at 2025 NORCECA Final Six)

Thatcher Fahlbusch, Jordan, Kearney, Victor Lowe, Payne, Rosenthal, Todd and Wade all have NTDP Training Series experience. Assistant coach Donan Cruz is heavily involved with the NTDP pipeline, having worked with the Men’s U21 Naitonal Team, the Men’s Collegiate National Team, and at several Training Series. Associate head coach Kupono Fey has also worked Training Series events.

Long Beach State

Seven Long Beach State athletes have competed for the U.S. on age-group national teams, including Ben Braun, Kellen Larson and Isaiah Preuitt, who have also competed with the senior Men’s National Team in NORCECA events.

  • Myles Jordan: 2024 and 2025 Boys U19 National Team
  • Kellen Larson: 2022 and 2023 Boys U19 National Team, 2024 and 2025 Men’s U21 National Team,  2025 (senior) Men’s National Team
  • Isaiah Preuitt: 2023 Boys U19 National Team, 2025 (senior) Men’s National Team

Cryst, Doty, Hillis, Jordan, Larson, Jake Pazanti, Ryan Peluso, Preuitt, are all NTDP Training Series athletes. Head coach Nick MacRae continues to be involved with the NTDP program as a coach at several Training Series. Assistant coaches Amir Lugo-Rodriguez and McKay Smith have both worked Training Series events, with Lugo-Rodriguez also supporting the Girls U17 National Team. Statistical coordinator Jon Parry previously supported the Men’s U19 National Team.

UC Irvine

UC Irvine, which upset No. 1 UCLA to reach the national semifinals, has two players with age-group national team experience.

  • Micah Goss: 2025 U21 National Team

Aitken, Tim Ennis, Cameron Kosty and Micah Tumas are all NTDP Training Series athletes. Head coach David Kniffin has supported NTDP at Training Series events.
