COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 21, 2018) – Indoor volleyball players have had their turn, now it’s time for adult beach athletes to have their day in the sun.

USAV will host the inaugural USA National Beach Tour – Adult Championships on Sept. 29-30 at Fort Lauderdale Beach South Park in Florida.

Women’s and men’s divisions will feature Open, AA, A and B. Coed divisions will showcase teams in Open, AA, A and B. The women’s and men’s open divisions will offer cash prizes.

The competition format will be double elimination for the women’s and men’s Open divisions. All other divisions will have pool play followed by a single-elimination playoff.

“We are proud to be launching the USA National Beach Tour – Adult Championships and plan to make it an annual marquee event in our schedule,” said USA Volleyball CEO Jamie Davis. “Beach volleyball is a lifetime sport this competition will provide our adult players a great place to compete and celebrate at the end of the season.”

In addition to the fun on the court, the weekend will be highlighted by the Saturday night players’ party.
