COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 2, 2022) – Beach ParaVolley may be coming to LA28.

Beach ParaVolley, a three-person variant of beach volleyball for athletes with disabilities, has applied for inclusion at the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. World ParaVolley, the international federation for Paralympic volleyball, submitted the application.

Should the application be successful, Beach ParaVolley would join both men’s and women’s sitting volleyball in the 2028 Paralympic Games, which run August 15-27, 2028, in LA.

“This is a massive step forward for our discipline,” U.S. Beach ParaVolley Program Coordinator Michelle Goodall said. “While this announcement was anticipated, to see it in print is wonderful.”
