COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The U.S. continues on the FIVB World Tour with the 1-Star tournament in Aalsmeer, Netherlands, this weekend. In youth beach volleyball, USAV Beach High Performance has opened registration for camps in November, details below.

The Aalsmeer 1-Star roster features two women’s teams in the main draw, while three other American duos will play to get into the main draw.

In The Netherlands, Emily Stockman/Kimberly DiCello have the second seed, and Betsi Flint/Kelley Larsen are the seventh seed in the main draw bracket. On reserve are Amanda Dowdy and Irene Pollock. In men’s qualification, Bill Kolinske is back with partner Miles Evans, after previously competing with Mark Burik in the Qinzhou 3-Star two weeks ago. On reserve are Burik and Eric Zaun.

Play begins Wednesday with the qualification tournament – four teams will earn their berth into the single-elimination main draw bracket. The 16-team main draw bracket begins on Oct. 26 for women, and the 27th for men. Both genders will play the quarterfinals on Saturday, with the women also playing the semifinals Saturday afternoon. Sunday will be the medal matches for both genders.
