COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 26, 2021) – After a year without indoor national championships, USA Volleyball’s largest championships return in 2021 with the Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC) on June 26-July 5 in Las Vegas and the Boys Junior National Championship (BJNC) on June 30-July 7 in Kansas City, Mo.
GIRLS JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
The 41st edition of USA Volleyball’s largest annual event is being played at the Las Vegas Convention Center. More than 1,300 teams are registered, meaning over 15,000 players and an estimated 60,000 in attendance.
This is the first time Las Vegas has hosted the event.
The GJNC uses a staggered start and finish for divisions based on age over the course of the tournament played on 81 courts. All but the youngest age division play four-day tournaments in the 10-day span (11 National Division runs three days).
All teams except Patriot Division teams must qualify through USA Volleyball national or regional qualifying tournaments held across the country, or through at-large selections based on results at qualifying tournaments.

BOYS JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
More than 560 boys volleyball teams with roughly 8,000 players and coaches are expected to descend on the Kansas City Convention Center for eight days of competition. More than 3,000 spectators are expected to join them.
The BJNC will use 46 courts and will be played in two main waves of competition.
